Release date
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar moved it off a Fall 2025 window. The October 15 launch trailer still uses that date.
Rockstar has not published an exact unlock time. Treat midnight on the 19th as the usual console pattern, not a promise. Digital preload starts November 12, 2026.
Platforms
As of October 15, 2026, launch is PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version. There is no confirmed PC date. Rockstar says the launch trailer was captured on a PlayStation 5.
Standard edition is $79.99. Ultimate Edition is $99.99.
Physical copies ship a download code. They are available from November 12 for preload.

Single-player story at launch. Vice City and the state of Leonida. Lucia and Jason. Checked October 15, 2026: that is still the posted plan, and November 19 has not moved.
Trailer 1 landed December 4, 2023. Trailer 2 landed May 6, 2025. An Extended Look landed August 27, 2026. The launch trailer landed October 15, 2026, with Flower in a Hurricane from Justice.
Day-one money still comes from the open-world grind. Casino predictions are guesses. The fan floor pages are Florida analogues, not confirmed interiors.
